Systems Integration / Implementation – Supply Chain Client
Our client is an international logistics company, who are a matrix organisation in a period of rapid growth and required specialist project management for a complex systems implementation / integration. The project included a large amount of bespoke software development to the client’s proprietary freight management software to successfully integration with external third-party ERP and warehousing (WMS) applications.
The project had previously failed to meet its objectives, and Pyramid CC were appointed as a fully outsourced Project Management Service, successfully deliver the customer requirements, and rebuild the stakeholder relationships with teams distributed across Europe.
Our team worked following an agile hybrid methodology, using incremental releases of bespoke development and phased delivery of business value, whilst working towards a traditional “go-live” deadline. Our team listened to the feedback and lessons learned from stakeholders who were involved in the initial failed project, and spent time in face-to-face workshops to re-establish the project goals and must have requirements, and to understand their unique ways of working and challenges which had hampered the work previously. Strong project governance was established to ensure risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies (RAID) were managed proactively, and a resource plan was proposed to the client to provide dedicated team members to support the successful deployment.
As a result of Pyramid CC’s work, the project was delivered on time, and on budget, and the deliverables were successfully deployed and signed off by the client and the third party stakeholders. Our focus on listening and understanding the concerns of all stakeholder groups dramatically improved the working relationships. Pyramid CC continue to work with the client on delivering complex projects as part of our longstanding relationship.
