Agile SaaS Development – for Global Logistics Platform

Pyramid CC was appointed to deliver the end-to-end development of a “Landed Cost” module for a global logistics business, aimed at improving cost transparency for international freight operations and reducing manual processing inefficiencies. The project also sought to create new business opportunities by providing clients with an advanced solution for calculating landed costs.


Pyramid CC provided Project Management and Product Ownership support, ensuring a seamless delivery from discovery through to deployment and handover to business-as-usual (BAU) operations. This involved overseeing the entire software development process, managing cross-functional teams, and engaging senior stakeholders throughout.


With our co-ordination, a distributed team of engineers and QA specialists developed the product with constant touchpoints and feedback from the end users. A phased release plan was created, focusing on key technical milestones—backend architecture, onscreen data modelling, user functionality, and automation—ensuring a streamlined and iterative programme to deliver value at the earliest opportunity.


Stakeholder engagement was a key component of the project’s success. Pyramid CC served as the central point of contact for the remote business teams, ensuring effective collaboration across time zones, including providing regular project updates, training and systems adoption reviews, and engaging communications preparing the customer for the product launch.


In addition to technical leadership, Pyramid CC supported procurement and budgeting processes, sourcing and managing outsourced specialist QA resources. A comprehensive cutover and transition plan was developed, outlining the shift from “as-is” manual processes to a fully automated “to-be” solution, which included data migration, system integration, and user training.


Upon completion, the module was successfully delivered, enabling the client to:


• Secure new business opportunities by offering a transparent and automated landed cost calculation solution for international freight.
• Significantly reduce operational inefficiencies by eliminating manual tasks from the freight cost calculation process, resulting in a more streamlined and cost-effective workflow.
• Position the platform for future scalability, with the architecture designed to support additional customisation and client-specific configurations.


Pyramid CC’s collaborative and customer focused delivery approach, combined with strong stakeholder engagement and technical expertise, led to a successful project outcome that generated measurable value for the client.
